Important Social Media News & Articles

This week really saw some positive ($) changes in the social media world.

First, if you haven’t heard… Facebook is actually cash flow positive! Yep, you read that here. Finally, a bit of validation of the Social Media space for all you naysayers out there. You just gotta believe…

Second, Twitter just received $50,000,000 in funding…thought the amount of zeros would get you…and, the company’s valuation is not bad either…$1Billion. Sounds good to us.

Lastly, we heard about this powerful video presentation promoting the book, Socialnomics: How Social Media Transforms The Way We Do Business, written by Erik Qualman. Still not a believer in establishing and maintaining a presence in Social Media? This should give you a good push.

And, for our Cable TV friends out there…have you registered for CTAM ’09 in Denver, October 25-27? Savvy will be there. We actually have an exciting announcement coming in October that we’d like to share with you. In the meantime, you can go and register here for the Conference. And, don’t forget to follow CTAM On Twitter.

Hey…heard about our Savvy Integration Awards™…well, we’ve done a little name change but the premise is still the same. Know of any good integrated marketing campaigns that are doing a good job of incorporating Social Media? Then by all means, nominate them, or your own program for that matter, for a Savvy Integrated Marketing Award™. We’re always welcoming submissions.

Hey…have a great weekend!
